THE EXCLUSIVENESS OF JESUS CHRIST
There are certain scriptures that establish Jesus Christ as the
one person who stands apart from all other men who ever lived!
These scriptures apply to him and him alone and no honest
student of scripture would believe otherwise! It is these scriptures
that have been the greatest stumblingblock and point of contention
when it comes to considering all religious spiritual claims, and from
necessity many reject these claims because they force those who will
examine them objectively to bow the knee to no other person but Jesus!
John 14:6 - Speaking to Thomas, "Jesus said unto him, I am the way,
the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father; but by me." It is
here that we must consider how singular this statement is. "The" is a word
that when applied to anything or anyone implies exclusivity and allows no
other interpretation. Jesus is saying that he is the only way to God , the only
source of any genuine truth, and the only source of life available to anyone.
There is no other way to interpret Christ's words in this particular scripture .
Acts 4:12 - Luke the author of Acts states in speaking of Jesus Christ, "Neither
is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven
given among men, whereby we must be saved." Once again there is a claim
that not only is there no other name given among men under heaven where
salvation is possible, but the word must tells us there is a mandate upon us to
turn to Christ if we expect to be delivered from God's wrath to God's mercy.
I Timothy 2:5 - Here Paul is writing to Timothy a young disciple under his
tutelage, and he says, "For there is one God and one mediator between God
and man, the man Christ Jesus." Paul makes it clear that if we wish to
approach God for forgiveness and salvation we need a go-between or a
mediator, and that one mediator is Jesus Christ - or in other words, there is
no other mediator. It behooves my readers that if they wish to make their
peace with God prior to meeting him in judgment they must heed these
scriptures . To ignore them is to be foolish and to ask for God's just
indignation and wrath since he went to such great expense to save us!
IS JESUS GOD? - IN A SCRIPTURE VERSE- YES!
I Timothy 3:16 - While there are enough scriptures to compare with
scriptures concerning this question, there is one scripture that is
absolutely definitive in respect to it. I Timothy 3:16 states, "And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifest in the
flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles,
believed on in the world, received up into glory." The theoogical study
of this verse will reveal that it can apply to Jesus Christ and no other!
God in this verse is the word Theos, and clearly indicates the one true
and eternal God of the Hebrew and Christian faith. The word for manifest
in this verse is the Greek phaneroo meaning shown, made visible, plainly
recognized. The word flesh is the Greek sarx or the body of a man. The
word justified means "declared righteous" as when the Father pronounced
Jesus as my beloved son in whom I am well pleased at Christ's baptism by
John the Baptist. The word angels is aggelos or heavenly messengers,
gentiles applies to pagans worshipping false gods, and the word glory is
the Greek doxa meaning exalted state and majesty.
So in a nutshell we can see that Jesus as God was shown in the body of
a man, justified and verified by God the Father personally at his baptism,
seen by angels (ie; prior to his descent, during his earthly life and during
his ascension to heaven , preached unto the gentiles which began as a very
specific call to Paul which spread throughout the world, believed on in this
world as evidenced by the millions whose lives have been changed through
faith in him, and received up into glory after his resurrection. This verse as
the verses above once again prove his exclusiveness and uniqueness!

The Gospel Presented Straight Forward and Honest
WHAT IF?
December 25, 2009
The most amazing thought came to me this morning; one that has never
entered my mind before! What if God in his infinite wisdom and planning
decided to carve out one, never-to-be repeated, millisecond in time for the
baby Jesus to be born, and that millisecond was absolutely reserved so that no matter how many babies were born before or after him - A spot in time was dedicated to the most special baby to ever be born - our Savior.

Some say that Jesus never existed. Wouldn't it be amazing that we measure time by his birth then? AD - the year of our Lord and BC - before Christ. Strange isn't it that we would measure time by a nonentity?

I’D RATHER HAVE JESUS
Rhea F. Miller, 1922
Philippians 3:8
I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold;
I’d rather be His than have riches untold;
I’d rather have Jesus than houses or lands;
I’d rather be led by His nail-pierced hands;
I’d rather have Jesus than men’s applause;
I’d rather be faithful to His dear cause;
I’d rather have Jesus than worldwide fame;
I’d rather be true to His holy name
Refrain:
Than to be the king of a vast domain
And be held in sin’s dread sway;
I’d rather have Jesus than anything
This world affords today.
